Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn Sedgwick, born 19th August 1965, is an American actor. She is best known for her character as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. In her role as Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. Following the conclusion of the seventh season the series was cancelled on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her role in the show in the role of Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for an Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech/family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick as a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian and of English heritage. Sedgwick has announced that she's Jewish and is a part of Passover dinners.
